Happy Birthday Brooks!

So I know I am a little behind on my blog, but better late than never.  Brooks turned 5 on March 30th.  He is so adorable.  He is such a joy to our family.  He really melts me.  

He got this awesome crown at school and I thought he looked so handsome.  He wanted to wear the glasses which totally cracks me up.  Since we had his friends party with Jake on the 21st I let him pick what he wanted for dinner.  He chose French Toast with powder sugar.  He says it is delicious!  We gave the boys a new t.v. for their room.  They really don't care that much for it, but I keep thinking they will.  

I love this picture so much!  It shows Brooks true personality.  He wanted me to take his picture as he was looking to the side (just like a super hero.)  Brooks is always willing to share and is the first to tell me how much he loves me.  He is so thoughtful!  It's almost as if he knows I am having a bad day and he will just blurt out the sweetest things like "Mom, You are Beautiful!"  He has such a great imagination.  He is always creating some story.  He loves animals, especially dogs.  He is just a loving, smart, kind little boy and I hope he always stays that way.  We love you Brooks!

Jake & Brooks 5th & 7th Birthday party!

Brooks and Jake got these cool planes for there birthday's and flew them until they broke.  Which was soon after they decided to sword fight with them.

The boys had there birthday party and Backyard Adventure's in Orem.  It is such a fun place and I had coupons for 2 free parties.  So that is a bonus!

We started off with pizza then the kids played on all the toys for about an hour.  Then we had cake & ice cream and opened presents and then played some more.  
I am not sure why Jake won't ever smile for a picture.  This is usually the face that I get, but I love it!

Jake had his final meet of the season on March 14th at Airtime gymnastics.  It was the state meet.  His team did well.  They took 3rd place.   

Jake took 2nd place overall with a score of 86.4.  We are so proud of him!

Jake took 1st place in Vault and Pommel Horse.  He is really good at gymnastics, as well as everything else he does.   

The Boys New Toy!

Brooks was to pre-occupied with his Jedi moves to really get into his new toy.  

Jake on the other hand really got how cool it is!

Toe nail clippers

I sure hope you can see this.  I think Brooks has 4 or 5 toe nail clippers hooked to his belt.  He thinks they are light saber's.  He does this everyday.  He has such a great imagination.  
He really wanted a picture of all his "Light Saber's".  How could I resist that face!  You just don't.  He is the funniest kid.

Lunch with Grandma Cherri

My mom wanted to take the boys to lunch at Mcdonald's the other day.  The boys love to go with Grandma.  I can't say I blame them,  she spoils them rotten.  Jake has every other Friday off of school so she came and picked them up for there date.  Grandma Cherri took Brooks all by himself the weekend before and Jake really wanted to go, but he had a gymnastics meet.  So I think she thought she had to make it up to him.  The kids just love to see Grandma Cherri.  She adores my kids and I am so grateful for her.  Thanks Mom

Mexican Hat Dance/ 1st Grade Dance Festival

This was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.  I wasn't able to go to the dance festival this year so I wasn't sure what to expect.  They don't do a dance festival at the end of the year with field day.  They have a dance festival in January, which I love.  

All the 1st grader's did the Mexican hat dance.  The look on Jake's face was priceless.  He was having so much fun, but he still had a very serious look.  His partner was Addison, whom he loves because she is a fast runner.  She is also an absolutely adorable girl.
