I love that she pretends she is sleeping.  She has really fooled me in this one.
The other day I came into my living room and Aubrey had taken every blanket out of my entertainment center and put them in a pile.  She grabbed a pillow and a book and was chillin' like a villain.  So besides the fact that she is extremely cute.  I thought this was so funny.  I love to see her start using her creativity to keep her entertained.  The kicker for me is that she had grabbed a Book of Mormon and she was "really reading" it.  I hope she is still reading when she is 15.  What a kick in the pants!  She keeps me on my toes and I love her for it.  She has brought so much joy into our lives.  She is such a smart girl.  She knows what a Cow, Dog, Chicken, Horse, the letter a, letter b, and the letter R all say.  She is learning so many knew things.  I can't believe how fast it has gone.  She will be 2 in 2 months.

We loved having Brigham, Lincoln, and Tatum stay with us for a few days while Tim & Jodi took clay to Cooperstown, NY.  They are such good kids.
Tatum was such a doll.  I loved doing her hair.  She looked so cute at church everyone was just oohing and awing over her.

My mom turned 50 this year. We had a little party for her at my house.  All of Don's kids were able to come and all of my brother's were there and so were her siblings.   She still looks great.  I feel really bad that I didn't get more pictures of her that night.  I was so busy.  Next time I will assign somebody that job.  Trust me though.  She looks great I will post a picture later. 
This is my Aunt Jamie (she is married to my mom's brother, John).  Her and Aubrey were BFF by the time they left.  
These are Don's cute kids (minus Brook's husband Jason).   My mom told them they had to wear red and white so they could take there picture.  She didn't tell us that.  I guess we know who her favorites are.  It was actually pretty funny.  They looked so cute though.

Jake's class went to Moyle Park in Alpine for a field trip.  We had a great time.  They ate hot dogs and chips.  They all took turns at each station.  They read part of "Little house in the Big Woods."  Then they toured all of the old farm equipment.  It was amazing to see how they farmed back then.  Then they looked at the old house.  It was a tiny home no more than 600 square feet.  The main floor had a stove and a small table then you went up to a loft where Mr. Moyle, his wife, and 11 children slept.  You really appreciate what you have when you see things like this.  Afterwards they went to the Gun tower where they would watch for Indians.  The last place they visited was the big home that Mr. Moyle later built.  They have turned it into a museum.  The kids loved it.  It was a little boring for them in the beginning, but as soon as they saw all the arrowheads they were having a great time.  The story of Mr. Moyle is amazing.  He hurt his leg milking the cows and they had to amputate it.  He made a wooden leg for himself.  Awhile later he needed to go to Salt Lake to help with the Temple.  He walked from Alpine all the way over the mountain to Salt Lake on Monday.  He chiseled "Holiness to the Lord" and then on Friday WALKED all the way back to Alpine.  I complain about driving an hour to Salt Lake with 2 good legs.  It was a very humbling field trip for me.  Helped me realize how blessed I am.  I hope Jake felt the spirit that was there.

I guess she wasn't done eating.  I love this little monkey!  She is into everything.  It drives me crazy, but I love it at the same time.  
Brooks is the biggest stud.  If anyone can melt my heart it is him.  He is so tender-hearted.  He has been riding his bike all summer.  He is growing up to fast.
